Hi all!

Welcome to another Top 5 Saturday Reads meme. It was created by the lovely Mandy over at Devouring Books as a way to share books that we would love to read.

This week’s topic is: Scariest Book Covers. I’m just going to admit that I don’t read horror or watch horror. I’m proud to admit that I’m a complete and utter wimp at heart! The scariest thing I could honestly think of for this week’s topic was: CLOWNS. They freaking terrify me.

I have not, nor will I ever, read these books. But suffice to say – they’re the scariest covers I could imagine! Give me gore any day over these creepily made-up faces!

    • I haven’t ever read/seen ‘It’ and I’m pretty sure I never will 😛 You’re so lucky that they don’t scare you! I’m sure you would have enjoyed circuses a lot more as a kid than I did!

    • HAHA just the name ‘Killer Space Clown’ sounds like it would be a riot. I’m such a chicken when it comes to clowns though… the fear is real!

  9. I used to be absolutely terrified of clowns. I had an experience that changed that fear. I hurt somebody’s feelings for being afraid of them. Anyways, I’m ashamed I only know of one of these books. I’ll have to check the rest of them out.

    • You know… in all my years of being scared of them I’ve never considered how it might affect them. That’s so ignorant of me! Majority of them (the non-evil ones) must genuinely worry about how people see them because of the stigma. Thanks for opening my eyes to that! I hope you enjoy some of these if you read them 🙂

    • I’m sorrrrryyyyyy… they absolutely freak me out too! It seemed so fitting for the post but I had nightmares last night so it probably wasn’t a great idea for me to post this haha 😛

  11. I never really understood the clown fear. I watched IT as a kid and it just kind of bored me honestly…. I WAS terrified by The Ring and Amityville Horror. But It was just long and I fell asleep bc I was bored.

  14. God yes, clowns are the worst! I can’t imagine a time when kids actually thought they were anything other than nightmare incarnates. I like all the covers on your list, but my favorite is the one for ‘The Pilo Traveling Show.’ :O
